Camping trip

Mark your calendars to save this date in October!  Don't put it off and let yourself get booked up!  Save the weekend now, plan to take a day or two off work, and then sit back and enjoy an amazing trip with your family and fellow HighPointers!

This is the second trip HighPoint has taken to Big Bend (those who were able to live and tell about the first one include Nathan and Gretchen Allan, Amy and Aaron Roberts, and Ryan and Wendy Campbell—see one of these folks for some great stories!).  We'll be tent camping as a group in the Chisos Basin in the park at an elevation of 5,401 feet!. Big Bend is about 7 and a half hours away. We'll be in a group tent camping site, that can accommodate larger tents and has shade. There are bathrooms (toilets only, no showers) very close by.  The cost is only $3 per person, per night, and will be less if we have more than 10 people! Check out the Big Bend website: http://www.nps.gov/bibe/  This would be a great trip for hiking, biking, bird and animal watching, exploring, and just relaxing and getting to know some great people at HighPoint in an incredible environment God created for us.  There are things to do for people of activity levels, from strenuous hikes, to just hanging out by the grill, to doing a driving time of incredible scenery and many things in between. There are many great things to do at the park, making this big trip one to remember!
